	CD-SDL 404 North Indian Vocal Music Ustad Hafeez Ahmed Khan, Neela Bhagwat The true music of India is the human voice and the oldest classical North Indian vocal style is that of Khyal. A lighter form is the more folk based Thumri. Ustad Hafeez Ahmed Khan here sings two full Khyals and Neela Bhagwat two beautiful Thumris and a short Khyal. This recording is one of the few available that extensively feature the ancient and evocative Khyal school and is therefore an important release.
